FAQ

At energynet, our goal is to provide affordable internet service to all Hopkinsville residents. Because it is necessary to install a small wireless receiver on the outside of a residence (see photos below), for rental properties, we want landlords to be informed of what is involved to install the service.

We do our best to strike a balance between optimal positioning of the wireless receiver for signal reception while attempting to mount the wireless receiver as inconspicuously as possible. Most installations will require the receiver bracket to be mounted to the structure using 2 screws, and a 1/4″ hole being drilled to pass the cable through into the crawl space or attic. The cable is then run inside a wall and a wall jack is installed in a location convenient for the customer.
